Frequently Asked Questions

Why a flat rate?

  • To provide optimum care Dr. Janikula needs to closely monitor progression in each case.  Sometimes cases present with crisis and frequent, daily, or even several times a day follow-up is necessary.  Dr. Janikula wants all his patients to improve as quickly as possible and does not want cost per visit to interfere with optimal care.  The flat rate allows Dr. Janikula to ensure improvement without concerns of incurring a new charge at every consult.

What is included?

  • Basically everything!
    • All visits no matter how frequent.
    • All medicines no matter how many and a kit of homeopathic remedies for urgent situations.
      • Note: Occasionally a medicine is needed urgently and may be available locally at a store quicker than Dr. Janikula can provide it.  In this instance the standard cost of a homeopathic medicine is $8-$9.  It would not be expected that this would happen often.
  • For full details, see Dr. Janikula’s Program.

Can I pay per visit?

  • Dr. Janikula does offer  a pay per visit program after the initial three months.   Not all patients with severe mental illness are complicated, some have long responses of uninterrupted improvement.     In this situation, very little care is needed and a pay per visit model is adopted.  Visits are based on complexity and decision making with three different costs levels of  $100, $150, and $200

Do you accept insurance?

  • No. Payment is due at time of service. You may submit a claim on your own to see if your insurance provider will reimburse you. However, most insurance plans will not cover services provided by naturopathic doctors.
